 Dell Extended Warranty Rebate

Bought Dell computer 7/26/05. Sent for $40 Extended Warranty Rebate. Received form letter stating they were unable to honor the request. Reasons given: They didn't receive a valid order number and proof of purchase. This is untrue because we sent a copy of the packing slip with the request. We also made a copy of the original rebate redemption form and there is nothing about an order number on there, just name, address, telephone, email address & signature. We tried calling and their rep in India said he would email us another form. Never received it. Emailed Dell and no reply. Tried calling again and couldn't speak to a human being because the recording said it had no "record" of our transaction or our email address! They seem to have recorded our credit card purchase all right though. A TOTAL SCAM!!!
All we want is the promised $40 rebate.
