denny's at 2215 delaware ave; buffalo, ny. i took my mother (age 86) for dinner tonight. i am 65. we arrived at 4:40 and were totally ignored for over 30 minutes. i finally walked around until i found a waitress. she took our order and disappeared for another 20 minutes. her manager finally brought our food. i told him how angry i was. he apologized. by then i was so angry my meal was ruined. cold coffee, neglect, and filthy rest room made our dinnr out a total waste. we don't get out often, so this was extra disappointing.

comp our meals at a different denny's. i don't ever want to go back to delaware ave.

That's one of the reasons why I never returned to Denny's after two
years: rude service, slow and lazy waiters/waitresses. (I have been
putting up with that nonsense from over the past 10 years until
then.)

Oh, and by the way?
Denny's IS extra disappointing, indeed. Don't bother asking for
compensation. It's simple: just don't return to the Delaware Avenue
Denny's, or any other Denny's. Ever. I never did again (after the
past two years). :)

Who waits for 30 minutes to be acknowledged? Wasn't that a clue that
you'd get lousy service in other ways? 30 minutes? That's nutty.

Sorry but anyone who waits to be acknowledged more than 5 mins after
walking into a restaurant deserves to be kept waiting.
And while I can understand your complaint about the meals and cold
coffee, if this manager did not comp your meals then I doubt Denny's
will.

But if they do respond please let us know...I am anxious to see if
they do.

How can this possibly be? 30 minutes? Is this an exaggeration,
because I would get up and speak with someone at about the 10 minute
point at the outside.

If you really waited 30 minutes, you set yourself up for a miserable
experience. You should either speak up or leave long before then.

You spoke with the manager. Did you tell him you didn't think you
should pay? I certainly would have. You have to speak up for
yourself, because nobody else will.
