I didn't know that upgrading to a new box that I already had the insurance on would extend my service contract for 2 years. We sold our house and in trying to disconnect service Direct not only charged extra for this disconnect, they have an very involved system for mailing back the receiver box. I have been a loyal Directv customer for more than 7 years. I always pay my bill on time and rarely complain. I have 2 DVR's in my home, one is a TIVO and one is a Directv DVR. The Directv DVR has had to be replaced and the TIVO has not been working properly for a while now, but you no longer had Tivo's to replace it with, so I just dealt with it.
