I didn't know that upgrading to a new box that I already had the insurance on would extend my service contract for 2 years. We sold our house and in trying to disconnect service Direct not only charged extra for this disconnect, they have an very involved system for mailing back the receiver box. So if your moving you have to disconnect before you are out of the house in order to get the mailing...

I have been a loyal Directv customer for more than 7 years. I always pay my bill on time and rarely complain. I have 2 DVR's in my home, one is a TIVO and one is a Directv DVR. The Directv DVR has had to be replaced and the TIVO has not been working properly for a while now, but you no longer had Tivo's to replace it with, so I just dealt with it.

I signed up to have direct tv installed in November 09 and the day it was supposed to be installed the tech went to the wrong address so even though that was not my fault it took 3 days to get another date for install so the rep said he would credit my account 58.00.
