More options for my DirecTv remote?

I recently got DirecTv back in my home. I must say the improvements and upgrades are impressive. The remote is very interactive and it makes the experience more enjoyable.

But I was wondering what the possibility of facilitating one more upgrade to our nifty little remotes would be?

There is so much this remote already does, but there are 2 more things I wish it would do. I wish there was a way that when I see a commercial for a show I want to see, I could press a button and it would set a recording reminder. Many times the ads are for shows that are days away, and trying to surf through the guide to find it is a chore. There are so many other cool features in this remote and box that it seems like it would probably relatively easy to add.

My other request (and I think this was something that was available years ago on older models) is the ability to choose a show in the guide line up, maybe an hour or two out
and set it to switch to that channel when it comes on, rather than just recording it.

Other than these two minor upgrades, I am pleased with both my service and the customer support I've received.
