DISCOVER CARD DID NOT BACK ME FOR BEING A LOYAL 10 YR. PERFECT CUSTOMER, REGARDING A DISPUTE I FILED. I HIRED AN ATTORNEY FOR MY DAUGHTER TO REPRESENT HER IN A CHILD CUSTODY CASE, USING MY DISCOVER CARD. I PAID HIM A FEE RETAINER OF $2800.00, TO FILE A CHANGE OF VENUE, ARBITRATE AB-ND REVISE A CHILD CUSTODY ORDER AND MEDIATE IN FAMILY COURT. HE DID NOTHING. AND COULD NOT PROVE HE DID ANYTHING. DISCOVER CARD FOUND IN HIS FAVOR, EVEN THOUGH I SENT THEM OF 60 PAGES OF DOCUMENTATION SHOWING HE DID NOT ANSWER CERT. LETTERS, AND E-MAILS OR FILE MOTIONS.
DISCOVER CARD SUPERVISOR DID NOT RETURN MY CALLS, CUSTOMER SERVICE MAN AT THE CEO OFFICE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. I RECEIVCED NO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AT ALL. I DO NOT THINK DISCOVER CARD DISPUTE DEPT. EVEN READ THE DISPUTE PAPERS I SENT IN, BECAUSE THE SUPERVISOR SAID HE COULD NOT FIND THEM IN THE COMPUTER. ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I WOULD SURE APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE.

SEND ME PROOF AS TO WHY THEY REVERSED THE CHARGEBACK. EXPLANATIONS AS TO WHY THIS ATTORNEY DID NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF WHAT HE DID. HE MADE UP BOGUS BILLS, AND NOT ONLY KEPT THE $2800.00 BUT CHARGED ANOTHER $1800.00 ON TOP OF THAT.

You may want to file a complaint with your state Bar.

Here's a place from which to start:

I'm not entirely sure that this is Discover's issue. I don't think
the CC company is set up to determine whether or not the attorney
actually did anything. They can only really determine that there was,
in fact, an agreement for payment of the retainer. I think it might
be analogous to buying a toaster on credit at a local Target, and if
the toaster breaks in 6 months, asking Discover to reverse the charge.
They're going to see a valid charge slip with your signature. Maybe
I'm wrong.

What you can do is contact your local ABA office and state Bar
Association. They're actually the ones who can take action for you.
Ultimately, you may end up getting another lawyer to deal with the
original lawyer (weird how the world works, isn't it?).

Good luck.
