I called Dish Network on 05-29-2009 and asked about the specials they advertised. The representative gave me the info I asked for and asked me if I would like to set up an account and I told him yes. He told me the only requirement would be that I have $25.00 on a debit or credit card and I told him that I did. He asked for the card number so that he could verify the amount was on the card,when I hestitated he assured me that NO MONEY would be taken off of the card without my permission.I said ok and gave him the account information. He put me on on hold came back on the line and told me that everything checked out ok and again told me that NO MONEY had been taken off of the card. I went to make a purchase on Sunday 05-31-2009 with the same debit card and was told that it declined the transaction. I came home and went on line to check the amount and saw that there was a small balance on my card. I didn't really worry about it because the money that was on the card was for a bill that had auto pay at a certain time of the month. I was thinking this is what had happened but when I checked the bill, it hadn't been paid so I checked the transaction history of the debit card and saw that Dish Network had taken out the deposit ($99.00) a fee for equipment ($20.44) and had a pending transaction of ($26.00). I called and told them that they had no right taking this money off of my card because first of all, NO ONE ASKED MY PERMISSION TO TAKE THE MONEY OFF THE CARD NOR DID I GIVE MY PERMISSION to have those 3 transactions done. The billing department told me that it would take 3-5 days to put the money back into my account, and this was on 06-01-2009, well today is 06-05-2009 and nothing has been done. I made arrangements to pay the other bill and decided that since I had an account number, to go ahead with the installation process. I called and tried to get another installation date and was told that on 06-04-2009 the billing department had started the process of putting money back on my card and it would take 3 business days. (3 days after I was told that this would be done.) I told the customer service representatives (I talked to 4 or 5)that I wanted to talk to someone about setting up a new installation date,given about 4 different numbers because no one could "help me" I asked to speak with a supervisor but of course "they were busy helping other customers" I told them that I didn't want anything to do with any type of service and just want my money back and I want all of it, the company had no problem taking my money WITHOUT MY PERMISSION but I feel as though they're trying to give me the runaway concerning my refund.
Refund all of the money that was taken off of my card from the 3 different transactions.
