Horrible service

Posted Sat January 19, 2008 2:32 pm, by Don S. written to Dish Network (Echo Star)

Write a Letter to this Company  |  Rate this Company

Without a doubt the worst national company I have ever dealt with. It is not surprising they require lengthy contracts as they would have no customers otherwise. The problem is the contract is one sided. They rarely live up to their end of the contract which is supposed to be providing TV service to your home. Numerous "special " charges is what this company is about, combined with little or no custommer service.
Live oprerator fee=$5
Transaction Fee=$5
Pay per view automation fee=$1
and of course many other fees and charges.
Horrible company

Would love to cease doing business with this sham of a company.

I agree w/ Gino. We have had Dish for a few years now. We have moved
several times, and each time, they move our Dish for us, and we have
NEVER been charged a fee. I have talked to the CSR's on numerous
occasions, and have not been charged a fee. I think we are not
getting the whole story here.

We've been dealing with this company for well over 7 years and we've
never had any issue with their services, fees, or policies. Unless
they've changed their practices or this is a case of buyer's remorse,
there has to be more to what's prompted the writing of this letter.

They have a troubleshooting guide that covers many problems, and yes,
if I can't fix an issue by the on screen, in manual, or on phone
automated system, There is a 5 dollar charge to have a live operator
resolve the issue. They waive the fee if it's a billing issue.

I could go on, but if this letter writer really has this bad an issue,
It would be in their best interest to change services.

They actually charge you $5 for a live operator? Are you joking?

If that's the case, then I don't blame you for wanting to terminate
your contract.

So what exactly is your complaint, or are you just venting??

How long have you been a customer? If only recently, don't they have
some kind of clause where you cancel out and not get charged?

As with most other electronics, there are other services out
there....when your contract expires see what else is out there and do
some research!!

It sounds like you are intimately familiar with the contract, so you
should know what it will take to get out of it.

I don't understand why you signed up if you didn't like the fees or
the length of the contract.

I never got married for exactly these reasons. I didn't like the
fees, nor the term of the contract.
