Ebay seller

I have bought off of ebay for like six years. I have had a little trouble in the past but it always seemed to work out. Then I dealt with seller *******. I ended up getting ripped off for over 100 bucks. I received nothing. He wouldn't answer disputes or emails. Ebay told me that they would do nothing since no single item was over 25.00. I still am out over 100 dollars though. This seller has something like 800 negative feedbacks. Since I posted negative feedback I have been contacted by at least ten other people that were ripped off. Some even say they have seen cards they bought advertised for sale again.

Hopefully make seller make good on his deals. If not at the very least punish him. It seems that all ebay is concerned about is their profit. I have really enjoyed my ebay experiences but I get enraged everytime someone sends me an email telling how this seller has ripped them off. I have spent thousands of dollars on ebay and continue to buy at present but I am considering leaving and also reccomending to others that they leave ebay.

I completely agree that a lot of the blame here has to fall on the
poster for buying from someone with bad feedback. That being said I
also agree with the poster that Ebay is less then diligent when a
buyer is scammed. My boyfriend won an auction for a portable DVD
player and there was some confusion with the seller and the purchase.
Long story short my boyfriend didnt recieve the item (seller claimed
it was lost in the mail and since we didnt get insurance-part of the
earlier named confusion-we were stuck) my boyfriend tried to settle
the matter himself and when he got no where he contacted Ebay and
PayPal and neither was willing to help out because "too much time had
passed". Too much time my ***!! One month since the auction ended, one
month of my bf trying to resolve it himself-as they encourage-and
we're told too bad too much time has passed! I definately agree that
Ebay should stand behind the buyer more, because without buyers there
is no Ebay.

I have to agree. Check the feedback a seller has gotten prior to
bidding. If you see a pattern of no product arriving and no responses
to questions, be wary of transacting with this seller.

For the most part, eBay will not regulate a sale and it is normally
between the seller and the buyer to work out their differences.

If you paid for your purchases via credit card, I would dispute the
charge on the basis of the product not arriving.

I have never bought anything on e-bay, but I would think that someone
will "800 negative feedbacks" wouldn't be someone to give money to.
Caveat Emptor -- let the buyer beware.

Ebay has systems and procedures in place that help protect buyers from
unscrupulous sellers.

One of these is the feedback system.

If, however, buyers like yourself ignore these systems and procedures
then there isn't a whole heck of a lot Ebay can do.

There's massive negative feedback for one seller and you still buy
from them?

Ebay's supposed "greed" isnt the problem here. Not by a long shot.
