I sent proof that this was paid and it is still reporting as a charge-off

Write a Letter to this Company

I called First Premier Bank about two weeks ago and spoke to a representative about the reporting on my credit report from First Premier showing that my account was charged off and sold to Arrow Financial. I told that representative I have a letter from Arrow Financial stating that I had paid my account and they are no longer reporting it negative. The representative said if I faxed over that letter, that First Premier would update my account from charge-off to paid. After I faxed the letter, about a week letter I get a letter from First Premier telling me that I need to deal with Arrow Financial because they no longer have anything to do with this account. Why would the representative tell me that if I show the letter from Arrow Financial that it is paid, then First Premier will update my credit report as being paid rather than a charge-off?

I would like to have my account updated to paid instead of charge-off with the lates removed from my credit reporting.

If it's changed from charge off to paid on your credit report, the
negative mark will still remain on your credit report for several
years.

FPB doesn't care that you paid Arrow, becuase FPB lost money on you
when they sold your debt for a fraction of what you owed. I don't see
how or why FPB has any incentive to change the reporting to the credit
bureaus.

You might want to look into filing a challenge with the credit
reporting companies. I'm not sure how to do that, but I know you can
dispute items.
