Good Will Gesture Needed-

Posted Thu April 5, 2012 12:00 pm, by Amaury M. written to First Premier Bank

Write a Letter to this Company

First Premier Bank

Dear Sir or Madam

I'm in the process on getting my first house and need to get my credit up to par.

I am writing to you today regarding my First Premier Bank Credit Card.
The purpose of my correspondence is to see if you would be willing to make a "goodwill" adjustment on the reporting of this
account to the three credit agencies.

During the time period this account was established I had was very happy with the service, I was however not the ideal customer and made mistakes with my handling of the account. I should have kept better records regarding the account and I take full responsibility.

I know that payment was my responsibility and I am not attempting to justify this breach of credit card user agreement, I was however hoping you might review the circumstances under which this non-payment occurred and consider removing the negative trade line associated with this account from my three credit reports.

I hope that First Premier Bank is
willing to work with me on erasing this mark from my credit reports.

I am simply asking First Premier Bank for a courtesy gesture of goodwill in having the credit bureaus remove this account from my
report. I do recognize that this request is unique and that it may not be your normal policy. Please consider that the Fair Credit Reporting
Act does not demand that all accounts be reported, only that any account that is reported be reported accurately. Therefore, a company
does have legal discretion and permission to remove any account it chooses from the credit report. I'm hoping that you will do that in my case for this account.

Your kind consideration in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Best Regards

i will like the above accounts be remove from my credit reports or adjusted to show no late payments and paid in full.

It sounds like you haven't even paid off this debt. I say that because
you are requesting that they change the status to "paid in full". Are
you serious dude? Pay off your debt and then start crying for mercy.

End of story.

Why oh why do people think that the only time to pay attention to
their credit is when they need to use it.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

The account is valid and presumably reported correctly. They don't
remove entries that are not erroneous.

means accepting that no one else is required to change your history
for you.

you should look at how many letters go through here asking for
"goodwill" changes made to VALID credit marks.

Why should anyone get their valid history changed? Why even have
credit history if everyone who asks to change history gets the
changes?

Hell... give me a credit rating of 10,000. Why? Because I want it?

except you forget - not every story is the same, and if you read enough of these you'll see a trend by PepperElf Tue April 10, 2012 @ 9:16 AM

"I take full responsibility"

Part of that is realizing that your actions will be on your accurate
credit report. I've had the same kinds of things on mine, you just
have to wait them out. If a credit report isn't honest, what use is
it?

Credit reports are their for a reason. You cant just choose which
items get reported. You screw up you pay the consequences.
