7 of 13: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

Recall Number: 03V482000
Dates Manufactured: MAY 1999 to JUN 2001
Number of Vehicles Affected: 671000
Date Owners Notified On: JAN 2004
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, CONTAMINATION OF THE FILTER IN THE FUEL DELIVERY MODULE (FDM) CAN REDUCE, AND EVENTUALLY BLOCK, THE FLOW OF FUEL TO THE ENGINE.
Consequence of Defect:
THIS MAY CAUSE ENGINE HESITATION, LOSS OF POWER, SURGING, AND OTHER SIMILAR SYMPTOMS. OVER TIME, THE FILTER MAY BECOME SUFFICIENTLY BLOCKED TO CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Corrective Action:
THIS ACTION IS DEEMED A SAFETY IMPROVEMENT CAMPAIGN AND IS NOT BEING CONDUCTED UNDER THE SAFETY ACT. ALL OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM, AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FDM WITH A NEW DESIGN AT NO CHARGE IF THE OWNER REPORTS THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITS ANY OF THE IDENTIFIED SYMPTOMS. THE FREE REPLACEMENT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR A PERIOD OF 10 YEARS FOLLOWING THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE, WITH NO MILEAGE LIMIT. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT FORD AT 1-800-392-3673.

Apparently this is not rare but according to Ford Dealer and Ford themselves this vehicle is not in the mix!

Well if not then why does it exhibit the symptoms in these TSBs and Recalls?

Fix the problem

Oh!!! gang I forgot to mention. There are some ford vehicles that have
a problem with the actual central computer processer.THis is where all
your information goes from all the sensors in your car.I met a woman
once that was head of Conservatory of music and hers failed in a
leased Ford Taurus. The failure would happen all at once without
warning car would stall. The computer would reset itself and when
dealer looked at it no faults were found. This lady battled Ford for
years and even said she should seek proffesional conselling. She
brought in her own electrical engeneer and found the problem. The
lawyer she had said she was intital to I believe $20,000.He then said
it will cost you about $20,000 in legal fees so return car and take
the small settlement. This is my point lawyers have priced justice out
of the reality for the people.Remember "JUSTICE" means
JUDGES,UNFAIRLY,STUDY,TRIAL,INFORMATION,CITIZEN,EXPLOITED!!!!!

Hi I have an idea for you .Have your fuel system pressurized to see if
your fuel pump is holding pressure. There are some Ford vehicles that
have a problem with fuel pumps.I had a dispatcher that spent a
thousand dollars at a Ford dealer and still didn't correct problem.I
went to a Ford dealer with a tempo. The dealers said car has been
running for an hour and we can't find anything wrong with it.I said do
a pressure test on fuel pump and call me back. They did and said we
have to replace fuel pump!!The next time your car stalls turn your gas
cap about less than half a turn to releave pressure. Also if you notice
the problem mainly occures when car is at running temp could also help
with result.Auto problems join Auto Fraud group on My
Space,Facebook,Twitter or You Tube Google "rrolls1" and tell your
friends. The larger the group the bigger the say!!
