F-250 Rust problems

To put it nicely, I am very unhappy with Ford Motor Company. I own a 2002 F-250. This thing is rusting out! I noticed it last fall but decided I would make it through the major snowfall before bringing it in to get it fixed. I knew I bought it in the late winter season. When I took it to the dealership they told me it would cost $3500 to get it fixed because it was 1 month and 21 days past my warranty. I was furious!!!! Should a truck be rusting out this bad??? Come on!!
They told me to call the 1-800 Ford hotline to see what they could they could do for me. (Probably because thay saw the red in my eyes and wanted me out of their building) They next day I called and talked to a guy named Caesar. He told me to take a hike. Whats the deal!! I see other makes of trucks that are 10+ years old without a spec of rust on them. I have been a Loyal Ford customer for years and so has my dad. He has bought 8 brand new Fords since 1985. Will we go back for our next new truck? Not if they dont stand behind their products. Come on Ford. Make your customers happy.

Stand behind your products! Do you think my truck should be rusting out as bad as it is, even if it is 1 month and 21 days after warranty.
Fix this!!

I have the same problem with my 02/250. Both wheel wells are rusting
thru. I had one panel replaced due to a accident from a family member
backing into it. The not so funny thing is that the replaced quarter
panel rusted thru before the orignal panel did. Everyone who has this
problem MUST call ford and complain. My truck is well maintained and
looks pretty good for a work truck, I just turned 90k with no major
problems except I have to install my THIRD sway bar. It feels like you
have broken shocks when you hit a bump. Nice design. NOT! The only
other big problem I have NOT had is the oil pan rusting thru. Ford had
to address this problem, I have not called Ferd yet but it's coming!
My sister work for them for 17 years and they were not good to her
either when thet forced her to leave corporate. It might be time to go
foreign. Screw the big THREE.

This must be a common problem. There was a similar letter to this the
other day about rust and snow issues on an out of warranty 2002 Ford
Truck.
