Shady Practices- Change of Story?

Write a Letter to this Company

Recently, I placed an order on fredericks.com (order # 52191835). I received my order a few days later. Unfortunately, some of the bras I purchased did not fit correctly so I decided to return them.

I shipped the bras back via UPS. I received credit back from Fredericks's for my return however I only received half of what I was expecting. I contacted Frederick's via online to see what happened. I was told the item#52406 8636DD was missing from the package.
I was puzzled since I know 100% sure it was in the package (it was by far the most expensive bra I was returning). I sale on ebay for a living so I know the importance detail in shipping items. I packaged the return at UPS with a UPS worker's help and took pictures of the items before sealing the package (I do this with all my packages for protection). I also purchased insurance on this return package.
I was going to file the insurance claim since the item had to have gone missing during shipment. I contacted Fredericks numerous times for about a week concerning this. I needed some small details for the insurance filing. Fredericks emailed me back the same message each time just saying the bra wasnt in the package (no other details)
So I called Fredericks today regarding this. After being put on hold numerous times, the lady came back on the phone and told me the bra was in the package but it was damaged so they couldn't give me my money back. When I told her I was given a different story via email she just said it must have been a mistake. I tried to find out if the box had been opened or received damaged when they received it. She said she couldn't give me any details. I had only tried on the bra once before returning it so I know it wasn't damaged from me.

Why the change of story?
I do find it strange that only the expensive bra had gone missing /or was received damaged.

I would either like Frederick's to credit me for the return or help me with the details filing an insurance claim.

Did they refund *after* you posted this letter (and a copy was sent to
themby this website)?

If that's the case, I say, screw 'em. They'll only do what's right
when you post a public complaint?

it sounds unlikely that an internet letter would get a refund within just 2-3 hours by PepperElf Sun July 29, 2012 @ 1:41 PM

Frederick's has now refunded me for the bra. Thank you!
