we are a military couple. My Husband is in Korea and has been there for almsot a year... or Valentines day he went to the FTD.com website and ordered for me flowers and some chocolate covered strawberries. He did this and payed extra so that it would be delivered on Valentines day... valentines day came and went with nothing being recieved by me.. He emailed FTD to see what was going on and he got a generic email to check the tracking at Fed Ex.. he did and it sasy that is was processing... it said that for 3 days... another email was sentto FTD.com and the same generic response was given. After 2 weeks of getting generic responses and nothing being deliverd my husband then sent another email tellingthem if he did not recieve a refund he would be taking the matter further and possible legal actions... he then got a generic email of a refund... never did he get a response from a real person or an explination of what happened.. . I sent them an email and still to this day have not recieved a response... We will never ever use them again and I have posted this onmany military websites also

I am an FTD employee, and I work in the customer service department
taking calls from angry customers like all of you...And what I dont
understand is why everyone hates on FTD.com when most orders placed
are sent through us, to a local florist... A LOCAL FLORIST WE HAVE NO
CONTROL OVER WHEN AND IF THEY DELIVER ON TIME or if they try to
deliver to you alls recipients and the recipient is not at work or
home or absolutely won't accept the arrangement from our florists who
are at their gated community calling them asking to be buzzed in, and
the recipient tells them to basically F-off, not cool!!!!! The
delivery date that customers ask for is a request, and if there is a
quality issue we resend the item and have the florist pick up the bad
one and if we can't fill your order by the requested date then we give
you the world(refund, discount, redelivery with an upgrade etc.)when
you call in and complain, yell at us customer service reps, who had
nothing to do with why your order was delayed, not delivered, or what
have you. I think that we do try to make it right to our customers and
that customers take advantage of the fact that we do MAKE IT RIGHT! we
have a 7 day guarantee that upholds to EVERY ORDER, and if we cant
make it right you all get your money back i think these blogs are for
customers with nothing better to do than blog about the "bad" service
they recieve when all you have to do is wait for rep to get on the
phone , complain and you get what you want or close to it !!!!!!!!!
People who have nothing better to do than blog about the service that
they recieve from our company are rediculous and need to get a life!!!

I have a floral shop and am constantly trying to educate my customers
to google a florist with an address and phone number that belongs in
the city that they want something delivered. Alot of these shops may
not have a website to look at but as a consumer you can look at any
website and when you call the local florist ask them to look at the
same site so that they know what it is that you like. Thats what the
wire service does for you anyhow. I hope this helps you out ans please
spread the word.

FTD Sucks - I ordered flowers for my girlfriend who was traveling for
5 weeks in cambodia and china - she was going to be at a "high end"
hotel for exactly 1 day, where there was any realistic chance of
getting flowers delivered. I ordered the flowers 3 days ahead of
time, on the phone, and they never showed up. when I called FTD to
ask about the order, first I was told they couldn't call Cambia
because it was "too late" there. When I pointed out that it was 5 am
in new york and therefore only 4pm the next day in cambodia, the girl
said they couldn't call there because it was international!!! What a
joke. They are the least competant international consumer-facing
business I have ever dealt with. I never got a reply, an email, or a
response to my on-line query. I had to cancel my charge at my bank
and ended up calling the hotel directly and asking them to order
flowers, which fortunately they were able to do! Stay away from FTD!!

We are a local florist in California that was ripped off by FTD as
well. Their service was horrible even to us - the florist that
deliver their orders. We normally have to wait for hours just to get
answer from them regarding to our inquiry. They also took more than
60% of what customer paid on FTD.com. When we decided to cancel the
contract with them, they sent us a huge bill over $1000 for
cancellation.

I agree with many customer that don't order from FTD.com anymore.
Your money will worth more if you just call us - the local florist and
you will get personal attention all the time.

I ordered Mothers day Flowers two days ahead and the Flower shop they
used never even came to my door - they just dropped them 20 feet at
the gate on it's side open for anyone to take. The pisser is that they
were the wrong order - the flowers were the wrong size as well. So
they stole from me and they are not cheap. $20 Services fee for such a
service I rather have a dog drop them off. I had Wrote and called them
for a refund and I am still waiting for their return call. They said
they have to speak withthe florist.
I guess they never bother speaking to the Flourist who handel thier
delivery.

I am with Sherrie - It was my first and last time!!!

I ordered Mother's Day Flowers and at nearly 5 pm on Mother's Day they
sent me an E-MAIL!!! to say that they wouldn't be able to deliver any
flowers until Tuesday, May 12! No help at all when my mom is at home,
alone, wondering why her children didn't send her anything...
I will never order from this site again.

MY experience is similar. Ordered an email special for my Mother's
75th Birthday in another city. Ordered in plenty of time and got a
shipping confirmation email so thought all was good. Her birthday was
on Friday and she never mentioned it so I waited all weekend to hear
and used the tracking number for DHL. However there was only a
shipping acknowledgement that came up. On Monday snet DHL and FTD and
email with all the pertinent tracking and order numbers. Never
received a response. Finally called and waited for a customer service
person who immediately pulled up the order number and knew that no
bouquet was shipped, but a piece of paper was. Don't know what the
paper was but they just wanted to try again without any future thought
to the error. I said they need to make good on the error and they
said all they would do is give me a 15%. I cancelled the whole order
and demanded that they call the recipient and explain they screwed up.
At least they did that, but now the occasion is past without a gift.
DAMN THEM!

I agree completely!!! FTD SUCKS!!! They are the worst online company
I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with! I am now filing
a complaint against them with the BBB. On mother's day they didn't
deliver the arrangement I paid $90.00 for, and I've emailed them at
least 6 times and no one will respond to me, except to say we are
looking into it. If a small company did this they would be OUT OF
BUSINESS so why can a large company do it and NOTHING happens to them?

Remember this people......DON'T ORDER FROM FTD.COM!! They will screw
up your order and do nothing about it!! You should go pick flowers
from a park, send them in an envelope because at least that way you
KNOW it will get there!!!!!

I find that it is Never a good idea to purchase from large chain
florists! I like to stick to local places, and if they have the
ability to order online even better (especially in your situation with
a loved one across the country)

My fav. florist in LA offers delivery strictly in the Los Angeles
area, but you can order online, so wherever you are in the world, the
flowers you want get there. No questions on whether she has a
"florist in your service area" because there is only one!

Her website is hiddengardenflowers.com

they so totally do!! they are really crap I would NEVER use them
again. Even trying to contact alleged customer service is impossible,
they even went as far as to sat they would refund the order that they
screwed up and never did!!

I would strongly recommend go ANYWHERE apart from FTD when you need
flowers

I ordered Valentine's day roses from FTD for my wife to be delivered
to her at a school where she works as a teacher. The roses were never
delivered. When I called to inquire about the order on the following
day a recorded messsage said that they could not take the call due to
a "unusually high volume of calls". So, I sent an e-mail to which
they never responded. 5 days later, my credit card account for the
roses. Again I called, this time I managed to get through to a cust
service agent. He acknowledged that FTD's records showed that the
order was not delivered and I was charged for it anyway. He also
acknowledged that they received my e-mail and did not respond to it.
At least they were honest about their dishonesty and disgraceful
service. Then, they had the nerve to offer to deliver the Valentines
day flowers almost 2 weeks after Valentines Day. Finally they agreed
to refund my money but said it would take 5 days to process the
refund! And, NO APOLOGY!!!
So, I'm pissed off and on a crusade to tell everyone I know (and don't
know) about this incident so that they, like myself, will NEVER USE
FTD AGAIN!

This is the second time FTD has screwed me over. My boyfriend ordered
me flowers weeks before Valentine's Day. I live in DC - hardly a
remote location. He received this email:

"Date: Fri, 15 Feb 2008 14:22:53 -0500

Thank you for your recent purchase from FTD.COM for XXXXX XXXXXX.
Unfortunately, at this time we do not have a florist available in your
recipient's delivery area who can deliver your product on 2/14. We
sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. A fullrefund in the amount
of your order has been issued to your payment method."

NOTE THE DATE THE EMAIL WAS SENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we'd already figured out there was a problem when no flowers
showed up :(

I ordered flowers for my wife for Valentines Day on January 18 so I
would be sure to get it in on time so that her flowers could be
delivered at work. Of course they never came and she was the only
teacher in her school who didn't receive flowers. I tried to contact
the Service representative by phone but only got a busy signal. I then
emailed FTD.com but only received an automated reply.

The flowers show up the day after Valentines Day and were not even
what I ordered. When I called the local ftd florist (located in a
town 35 miles away) who delivered the flowers they couldn't find my
order and would call back. Which they did not do. Basically it will
be the last time I ever use FTD.com but will probably have to pay the
credit card bill even though I will dispute it.

I had a horrible experience with FTD. I actually ordered on the 12th
ahead of Valentine's. But I am not even so much mad at their bs, but
at the fact that they cut you off if you try and call customer
service, do not answer calls. They actually called my gf on the 15th
and told her that the flowers will be delivered today. Gues what!
Nothing. Ther excuse is that they were trying to deliver to an address
in La Salle when the address was for Montreal. This is completely
bogus.

YOU ARE ALL MORONS. IF YOU FOUND THE TIME TO LOOK INTO HOW A COMPANY
WORKS INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING ABOUT FLOWERS.READING WHAT MOST PEOPLE
WROTE AND LOOKING AT HOW INACCURATE THEIR INFORMATION WAS APALING. I
READ ABOUT HOW PEOPLE WOULD NOT RECEIVE REPLYS TO EMAILS. FTD AND
OTHER FLOWER SERVICE CATTER TO THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE A DAY WORLD WIDE.
EACH HOLIDAY THEY USUALLY HAVE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF ORDERS THAT
THEY PROCESS. IF ONLY 1% HAVE PROBLEMS THAT IS STILL THOUSANDS OF
ORDERS. THEN YOU HAVE THOSE PEOPLE CALLING AND OTHER STILL TRYING TO
PLACE ORDERS THERE PHONES ARE GOING TO BE SO OVERWHELMED THAT THEY
WOULD BE FOCUSING THEIR WORKFORCE ON PHONE CALLS AND GETTING TO THE
EMAILS AS SOON AS THEY CAN. AT SOME POINT YOU AS CUSTOMERS NEED TO
TAKE SOME INITIVE AND CALL INSTEAD OF SENDING EMAILS, AND WAITINGON
THE LINE. ALSO IF THE LINE IS BUSY CALL BACK LATER NOT BITCH AND
COMPLAIN ABOUT IT.

My only question is this... why would anyone purchase from any wire
service when they take 30% of the customer's money right off the top?
Yes, that means the customer doesn't really get that $50 dollar order
they placed, but rather -- a $50 dollar order minus 30%, which amounts
to $35.00. Its time the public became educated on these wire
services. I NEVER NEVER NEVER use them, but go directly to my local
florist. And, these days, its so easy to find a local florist
anywhere.

FTD.com COMPLETELY sucks.

I wanted to have flowers delivered to a friend at work on Valentine's
Day. I ordered them a week and a half ahead of time so they'd make it
on Valentine's Day, which I paid an extra $15 for. The order said I'd
be getting something like 8 Gerbera Daisies, 6 Roses, and some other
flowers.

Valentine's Day came and went with no sign of flowers. The day AFTER
Valentine's day came and went with no sign of flowers. Finally, on
Friday, the flowers arrived. However... Apparently, they'd been left
in the DHL truck the entire time (or so it appeared) and had gotten
frozen. The daisies were BLACK and the roses were dead. Rather than
being excited to get flowers, the recipient was embarassed... NOT
something you want for Valentine's Day!

I called their WORTHLESS Customer Service center on Friday, waited on
hold for 40 minutes, and finally got ahold of someone who was very
pleasant and apologetic. I could understand how weather could delay
delivery of flowers--makes sense. She said that a replacement bouquet
would be sent, my credit card refunded, and the gift card that I'd
used would be re-credited. I informed the recipient of this, and that
she should be watching for another bouquet of flowers. That was 10
days ago, and there has been no sign of any flowers--but apparently
they were shipped on the 19th of February according to the DHL
website.

Still no replacement bouquet. SO. I decided to use the gift card
(which can only be used online...) to send another bouquet, and found
that it'd not been reinstated after all, and that I'd have to pay for
the entire order of flowers and then "hope" that they'd refund my
credit card when the gift card was reactivated.

When I called to complain about this, they told me that they'd fix it.
No replacement flowers, and I come off looking like a jackass....
after spending $60 to have a dead bouquet of flowers delivered 2 days
after Valentine's Day.

They SUCK. I will support any kind of effort against this company.
I've bought three dollar flowers at the grocery store that are FAR
nicer than their $60 arrangements.

FTD goes from bad to worse in my case. Due to the non-delivery of
flowers on Valentine's day this year, and a total lack of response
from FTD about it, I finally received a call from an FTC manager 4
days after the non-delivery. To her credit, she was quite apologetic
and she stressed that the reason she works at FTD is because they have
a great history of reliability. She immediately credited my account,
and offered to send free roses to my girlfriend, as well as leave my
girlfriend a message of apology. I thought this was a very nice offer,
and very rare for companies that fail in their promises. But then
today I got a noter from my girlfriend thanking me for the fully-dead
roses that arrived today!!!!! I wish there was a way to put this
rotten company out of business.

I have a similar story to all the other ones here. I dont need to go
into the details. I am writing to ask each of you to go one step
further, and FILE A COMPLAINT with the BBB (www.bbb.org). Companies
like FTD really do value thier standing with the BBB. Currently, they
have a "satisfactory" rating. I would like to see that change to
"poor", but it wont unless they get bombarded with complaints. PLEASE
TAKE ACTION, dont just complain.

Yeah, I agree 100%.. I placed an order at 10:20AM on Feb 14th, 2007
and they said IT WOULD be sameday delivery. Well, guess what. Today
came and went and nothing was delivered.

The absolute worst thing about FTD.com is there is nobody there who
will take your call. You cannot get ahold of them for any reason
whatsoever. They take NO calls on Valentine's day in regards to
customer service and order tracking.

I sent them a nasty email and will never do business with them again.
I also swore that I would relay my experiences with them to everyone
else I came into contact with. Screw FTD.com, make the extra effort
and lookup local florists using something like 411.com. Use FTD.com to
find what you want and then call that florist directly and place the
order.

FTD.com is nothing but a middleman who is inflating the price and
usually scewing you over anyhow.

instead of the 3 I ordered. As well, today is Valentine's day, but the
balloon says "Happy Anniversary". And finally, they didn't even send
the right type of flowers! This is ridiculous. I can't even get

I ordered flowers for my wife for valetines day, 2007. I placed the
order three days in advance. So, Feb 14, 2007 Valentine's day comes. I
wait for word that the flowers have been delivered. I check the
website over and over, and it tells me that my order is being
processed by a local florist and that they will chceck my order and
send me an email about its status. All day long, no email arrives.
So at 2:00 p.m. still no word. I try calling them. FTD has
"temporaily disconnected their phones" because of the Valentine's day
rush. It turns out that I have no way to check on my order.
I have no way of knowing if everything is ok or not. Finally, at 4
p.m., I get an email saying that it can't be delviered.
Of course now it is too late for me to order something from a
competitor (and I am sure that is just a concidence) So I then say,
fine this is a joke, cancel the order and I won't use FTD again. Guess
what? They refuse to cancel the order and say I have to pay for it any
way.
I am an lawyer, and I told them either refund my money or I sue. If
anyone else has had a similar problem let me know, a class action suit
could be in the works. Stay tuned to see what happens, I will post the
response and whatever else happens.

I find it is always best whenever possible to deal directly with the

chance of getting what you ordered delivered when you want it to be!
