Defective Clothes Dryer

I purchased a GE clothes dryer and within a year i had to spend $136 to get it repaired. At the time that it stopped working, i could not find the receipt and was not totally sure that it was still within the 12 month period. I called Lowe's (where i bought it and they were NO help) so i just called the local repair shop and they came to the house. The repairman said he had never seen this part fail on such a new machine. I subsequently found the receipt and it was in fact in warranty when it stopped working. I called GE and asked them to reimburse me for the repair bill and they refused.

I want GE to reimburse me for the repair of an obviously defective appliance!
