Couldn't sell the cars as agreed and Never refund the deposit of $20,000

Posted Tue July 10, 2012 10:57 am, by Jian W. written to Glendale Kia

We made the deposit of $20,000 to Glendia Kia account on Dec 6, 2011 to purchase the cars . Since they were not able to provide us the cars at the originally agreed price, we had to purchase the cars from other vendors. After that, we have been making calls, writing many emails to Mr. Onnik to request the refund of our deposit of $20000. He had previously promised to make the refund to us on early March and didn't do that. Unit now, we havenot heard anything from him, and we are still waiting from the refund.

Please refund the deposit of $20,000 as promissed.

Several references to cars leading me to think that this was a fleet
purchase or a family pooling their dough to get their ride on.

Bank will be able to tell him when and who cashed the check but that
will probably be about it.

I hate to say it but it is probably time, if this letter does not do
the trick, to call in an attorney.

The bank can't do anything to cover someone's um, shall we say, less
than financially prudent choice.

You need to sue him. He's not going to return the money on his own. I
guarantee it.

Why woudl you put $20,000 down??? A downpayment is normally like 10%
at the most. Esspecially for a kia, arnt most just over 10k?

I would contact your bank and see what they could do.
