It's really frustrating when you spend hard-earned money on a product, and then this happens. I'm referring to the customer service with Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex, Inc. and I'm hoping you can do something about it. Frankly, I'm really annoyed with this matter.
For the record, I own a 33650 type sc02 from your company. I'm an occasional customer of yours.
We purchsed a slow cooker. Don't know where or when at this point in time. It is a 5 quart size. It is model 33650 type SC02 made in mexico. Last evening we turned it on with beans in the glass-crock which fits into the heater. The inside is aluminum and the bottom is of plastic. The pot was sitting on the counter top plugged in, in the usual manner after which my wife noted a plastic burning odor. On examining the bottom of the pot the heating element had melted a hole in the plastic.
No one was injured. Nothing was damaged, except, of course the the crockpot jacket.
If you could fix this problem, I might even be willing to pay more for the solution. I might even tell my friends that they should consider buying your products, too.
Here's what I'd like to see happen: This seems to be structurally defective. We would like for this to be replaced. I hope you can fix this, because it will prove to me that I should continue doing business with you in the future.
Please respond to this complaint as quickly as possible.
