HD Warranty Coverage

I just called my HD Dealer, Manatee River Harley Davidson, re: my 2010 Ultra Limited has chrome blistering on both rims(which is still under the factory warranty) and was informed that the HD warranty does not cover cosmetic issues. I paid list price for this bike as it was in big demand in our area. By the time I paid for the bike, factory extended warranty, tire and rim coverage, taxes, license, and a few extras the bill came to approx $31,000.00. I rode out with my Limited and felt confident that I would be covered for the next 7 years (first 2 years factory last 5 extended) for any defective part on the bike. Chrome on the rims is a part of the bike and I was under the impression that it is designed to last more than 2 years.

Repair or replace rims as needed.

Kirk

I do not know if Harley got my complaint as they have not contacted me
directly but when I went in in person to have a few minor issues taken
care of the dealership informed me that HD would replace the rims at
no cost to myself. I do however wonder why they will now cover it and
before using Planet Feed Back they were not even will to look at the
rims. Thank you for providing a way for the average consumer to access
corporate America. Kirk
