Printer Cable

No printer cable is supplied with F340 All-in-one printer. (The cable that goes from the printer to the USB port). It is not evident that the cable is not supplied with the printer. They list the items contained in the box, but do not say "Printer Cable is user-supplied". Secondly, it appalls me that HP cannot provide this simple interface as part of the package. It is similar to not providing a monitor cable. It has definitely influenced my decision mind-set for future purchase of HP printers. I'm sure you could supply this cable for a very small cost and would certainly outweight the loss of income if I buy a different printer next time. If none of the manufacturers supply it, then I would recommend thinking outside the box and taking care of your customers instead of trying to save a few pennies.

Supply the cable with all printers.

People want cheap printers. They reduce cost by not including the
cable. If you read the packaging carefully without opening the box,
you would have read that you do not receive a cable in the box.

No manufacturer is including cables in this day and age.

Get over it and cope.

Ugh. I bought my in laws a photo printer and on the box there was a
check list of things you need to hook it up. The only thing that was
marked was ink and paper. The cable was listed but it wasn't marked
off. I hooked it up and there wasn't a cable. I was sad. It's been
a year or two since I bought a printer but I have 3 and they all came
with cables. Frustrating.

It should be evident that the USB cable is not supplied with the
printer when you don't see it on the list of items contained in the
box.

All companies have stopped including the printer cables, not just HP.
This has been done for a while. I don't believe the boxes say they
include the cable, it lists it as a product needed (if hooking up to a
computer)

Most printer companies do this.
