Lots of folks embark on household projects from The Home Depot. As the world's largest home improvement chain and second-largest retailer in the US after Wal-Mart, the firm operates more than 2,150 stores in all 50 US states, the District of Columbia, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. It targets the do-it-yourself and professional markets with a broad product assortment (up to 45,000 items, including lumber, floor and wall coverings, plumbing, gardening supplies, tools, paint, and even appliances). Home Depot has reshuffled its top management in response to angry shareholders and sold its construction supply business, HD Supply, in 2007. |

Bad Business & Management at Home Depot |

On Oct. 24th I placed a special order for carpet at the Brick, NJ location. The 23 x 12 rug was considered a special order and had to be paid in full prior to ordering. We were told 7-10 days for delivery and the rug would be delivered directly to my home. Needing the rug "yesterday" - we were assured that it never takes that long and to expect delivery in less than a week.
Nov. 1st I...

I was in the Ceres, CA Home Depot on my lunch break. I went to the self checkout so that I could get checked out faster (there are never enough cahier registers open). The first register I tried froze up on me. The cashier manning the the Self-check tried unsucessfully to un-freeze it. She had me go to another self-check and it too froze on me. After fiddling with it for a few minutes she finally...

We have a Lowes and a Home Depot directly across the street from each other. I always have trouble deciding where to shop until now! I had no idea until recently, how uncomfortable your company is with people of faith being in your stores. So uncomfortable in fact, that you recently fired an employee for being a person of faith. Now my shopping decision is easy! My family, my relatives families,...

Firing in Florida |

Home, it references a place for family, friends, a safe haven. Remove it from your Store Name. You have no understanding of the word. You fire an employee for failure to comply with the dress code. How sweet, and cowardly... we know what the reason was. He wore that pin for 18mos. and nothing was said.
Grow some nuts... (use fertilizer as needed) and be honest. At least I could respect you for...

How can you fire an employee for wearing a pin displaying a motto present on our NATIONAL currency? I guess the same way that I will be taking my business to Lowe's - BIAS
Reinstate employee and retract position on anti-patriotism and I will return to your store.
