Automatic Bill pay

I set-up bill pay, yet every year & everytime I reach a zero balance, bill pay has to be re-set and of course I incur a late payment fee. What is the purpose of setting-up automatic bill pay if you have to continually monitor and re-set the payment schedule?

I would like my payments deducted whenever I have a balance. This is just a scheme.

You did not answer my question. I had already set up automatic bill pay. My balance had been paid off. The new charges did not automatically deduct.
Therefore if I at anytime pay off a balance and then make new charges do I have to continually renew automatic bill pay. In that case it really isn't that much of a convince. I think it's time to shop for a new card!!

Dear Renae Roundtree,

We are writing to you in response to your inquiry regarding your Account ending in 2562 issued by HSBC Bank Nevada N.A. My name is Frank and I am happy to help you.

We can certainly understand your concern regarding payments online.

Please be advised that our Online Bill Pay Service will not automatically withdraw funds from your bank account each month. You must schedule and confirm all payments made to your account using the Online Bill Pay Service.

You may schedule recurring payments for up to 365 days in advance of today's date.

Please note, if any of your recurring payments fall on a weekend or a holiday, you will see those payments listed on the Select an Alternate Date screen before you receive the Confirmation screen. For each payment listed, select a new Payment Date. When you are done, click on Continue. The new Payment Dates that you choose will be in effect for these payments only.

At this time, our Online Bill Pay Service does not offer the option to pay your statement balance automatically each month. Please be assured that your request has been forwarded to the appropriate department for further consideration.

to autopay a portion of a charge balance? Then when the account goes
to 0, and you later make new charges, the following month no automatic
payment occurs?

Maye I got this wrong - if so I'm sorry. If I'm right, what the bank
is doing makes sense - they wouldn't want to keep autopaying if your
account has gone to 0 or negative.

You might try calling them, if it is an option. Using email is
convenient. But if you are having communication problems, speaking
with someone is probably better.
