Incorrect credit report information

HSBC NV is reporting that I was late 30, 60, and 90 days late on my credit reports. Each time I attempted to make payment arrangements with them, they would REFUSE to take a bank certified check. They continued to ask for a post-dated check over the phone. Which I would not give my bank account info over the phone. I have disputed with the credit bureaus, and all came back verified as accurate. But looking at my reports, they are not reporting correctly, nor do the reports match with incorrect info. I have sent HSBC a letter asking for the lates to be removed, they updated my reports and I lost more points.

They need to remove the late payments and return the account to a Satisfactory account.

When you dispute the information with the credit bureaus they do a
"quick check" as I like to call it. If it comes back verified you need
to do two things. First you need to immediately respond to them and
ask for proof of their investigation process. Basically you want to
know how they verified it and what proof they found that it's
accurate. You can find good template letters for this online. Second
you need to contact the person reporting the info and request in
writing that they validate the debt, basically provide proof you owe
it. They will try to send you a computer print out of your balance.
Not good enough. You need to see the original bill. Different states
have different rules on what constitutes proof. It will take time and
effort but if you push you can win. Consider the work you've done
already round 1. Always communicate in writing and keep EVERYTHING. I
highly recommend certified mail. It provides proof that they received
your dispute. Check out the Fair Credit Reporting Act to see how long
they have to respond. Good luck.

ps HSBC NV is a scumbag collection company so it may take some time.

The fact that you were attempting to make payment arrangements and
that they were asking for post-dated checks over the phone tells me
that you were not current with this account. It doesn't matter the
attempts to pay that were or were not made - - if your payment was not
received in time to be posted to your account by the due date then it
is considered to be late.

Well, were you late with any payments?
