Reconsideration for an HSBC unsecured credit card

I recently applied for an HSBC credit card to help rebuild my credit. I went to the website and did the preapproval tool and then applied for the suggested card. Needless to say I was turned down. The card is supposed to be a rebuilder card. My question is if it's a rebuilder card what type of credit do I need. You would assume it's for less than perfect credit. I do have a couple of positive tradelines showing on my reports.

I would like HSBC to reconsider me for a $200 unsecured limit and give me the opportunity to show that I am serious about rebuilding my credit and using credit properly.

Re: Reconsideration for an HSBC unsecured credit card by Milliew72 Posted Sat April 11, 2009 @ 12:15 PM Update: So I have heard nothing from HSBC but my hubby whose credit is no better than mine applied for both an HSBC and Orchard Bank card within days of each other and was apporved for both! Their approval criteria is really random...I'm really at a loss here. Reply secured credit card by Bill R.
