My daughter is MMR. She is on SSI, and while I really don't care about the money she gets, the insurance is a total godsend. She has so many doctor's appointments and has to have medicine for her epilepsy, blah blah blah...it's just been a world of help to us, since we can't afford medical insurance. Well, since my husband works for hourly pay, and gets paid every 2 weeks, November he will get paid 3 times instead of 2. Social Security decided that we aren't eligible for SSI for November, but MAY be again for December. I understand that completely, but what kills me is that we are going to have to pay OOP (out of pocket) for her Carbatrol, as well as doctor's appointments. We don't qaulify for emergency medical assistance for her, not even for the pharmacutical companies for her medicine...SO many hoops to jump through, and even if you do everything they say, you still have a waiting list for up to 6 months. UGH!!
Just pray for us that we will get through this in November, and her benefits start back up in December. The meds are $200 for the month, and one doctor's appointment is $400. That's quite a chunk of the paycheck, so I guess the gov't thinks since my DH gets an extra check in November, that's what we can use it on. I want to live in Canada!!

*scary ghostly noise* Whoooooooooooooooo-ooooooooooooo-ooooooooo!! ;0)
Well, that's what it seems like sometimes. Are my posts THAT bad? Am I being ignored by all the other regular PFB posters? Hell, even LEE H. won't respond to my well thought out and researched post about the GE built in microwave! LOL
But seriously, I guess I'm having my own pity party here in my little corner of the world. Nothing to see here, keep moving. I will snap out of it in a few :0)

You know something? I have come to discover that I am just not a blogger. Not only am I NOT a blogger, I am a lurker of the highest quality on message boards and here on PFB. I will read to my heart's content, and either agree with posters, or disagree wholeheartedly with what they are talking about, but for some reason, it's just not in my nature to really JUMP in and give my .02! Is it because I'm solitary by nature, preferring to be alone most of the time? Or is it because I don't want my opinions pooh-poohed as not worthy? Not sure. Either way, I will continue to lurk here and on all my other boards, reading what everybody else has to say and occasionally sticking my head out for air and posting myself ;0)
I know there are other people here like me, I just haven't found them... and I probably won't, haha, because they don't like blogging either!!

that Adam W won't come here and read this!! ;0)
I am LONG time lurker on PFB. I post occasionally, but lately, I have been sitting back reading all the letters and comments made... while keeping my mouth shut and my fingers OFF the keyboard! But you know what? New year, new me. Here goes!
Adam W., I realize that you think you did nothing wrong in your DVD return to Target. Personally, you deliberately omitting the fact that you did not BUY it from Target when you returned it is akin to stealing it and returning it for credit or (like you did) another version of the movie or a different title. I don't think you should have been able to do it, and should have just sucked it up and accepted the gift as it was given. But since you didn't, and wanted to exchange it for the widescreen version (I understand that, I prefer widescreen myself, because I have a 52 inch TV), and Blockbuster wouldn't take it back with no receipt or proof, YOU decided to scam another company by taking advantage of a LOOPHOOLE in their return policy...and then coming to PFB and complaining about Blockbuster for following THEIR return policy! Sheesh!! And you wonder why the commenters here jumped all over you for doing what you did.
Now, Adam, instead of being adult and just letting things GO, you egg people on, by arguing it into the ground... and when THAT doesn't get the desired effect, you complain to PFB about the commenters being mean and name calling, while you do the EXACT SAME THING!! Hello, hypocrite!!
Last thing, Adam. LET IT GO. Your Netflix post was spot on, and it was well written and didn't resort to name calling or deceit. Let the Blockbuster thread die, as well as the one to PFB. People will focus on somethign else soon enough without you adding fuel to the fire, so to speak. But please stick around and become a regular commenter, I see some real potential in you :0)

WHY do so many letters and such these days have such BAD spelling and/or grammar? It's like people are too lazy to bother spelling a word correctly. In my opinion (which I can give freely, because this is MY blog), bad spelling, especially in a professional letter, makes you look stupid, and your complaint, no matter how valid, will look less valid because of the spelling! I weep for children that are in school these days, especially those that have parents that couldn't care less.
I am in a Yahoo group with a young woman, she is 25, and a single mother. She is going to school to learn to be a secretary. Oh yeah. Kudos for her for going to school, but the girl can't spell her way out of a paper bag. She can't even spell SIMPLE, normal, everyday words correctly! Hello, how hard is it to use spell check in an e-mail? I was not an English major in college (I majored in music), but I have been reading literally since I was 2, and spelling is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. I won't go correcting people on here, though, unless it's really bad. LOL! ;0)
Okay, my after Thanksgiving rant is over. Back to reading Black Friday complaints!!

I got my beloved laptop back from service yesterday! I can't believe I went a whole week and a half without it ;0)
Walked out of Best Buy with it cradled in my arms like a baby, and as soon as I got in my car I had it up and running. Man, I'm pathetic!
Oh, the guy from the Geek Squad, when I got to Best Buy and picked up my computer, had me thinking they LOST my computer. He couldn't find it in the back! So he went back and forth, back and forth until another guy finally went back to look for it... turns out the original guy was looking for an iPOD. HOW can you mistake a LAPTOP for an iPOD? Yet he apologized to me for the mistake, and as I walked off, I heard him tell the other Geek dude that I (!!) was the one who told him that I had brought an iPod in! Whatever! I don't care who he put the blame on, I'm just glad I got my computer back. Word.

I have been reading the older top 20 letters... like the one about the children that were singing in the dressing room at the dept. store? Holy hell! Now, I am a mother of 2. My youngest is MMR, and she has no concept of what is appropriate behavior inside a store... but she will walk with me, not run around like a madman, and if she yells or starts acting up, it is dealt with right then and there, or else we leave. Period. I know that people will side with the mother, thinking that the kids weren't doing anything wrong, but in a small space like a dressing room where everything is amplified and can be heard down to the whisper of a fart slipping out, singing and dancing CAN be annoying to other people, whether they are parents or not. I think that the MOTHER should have known better than to let her kids make so much noise in such a small space.

That people come on this site, go into someone's PERSONAL blog, and just won't leave them alone? I admit, I read the blogs on here, simply because I am interested in what the other regular posters here on PFB have to say. But, what certain posters are doing is borderline harassment and STALKING, especially after they have been told to leave the other person ALONE! Gee whiz, do you have a life outside of this site? What is it about these certain posters, who you more than likely don't even KNOW other than from this site, that you dislike so much? So you get your spelling and grammar corrected. Big deal! If you are THAT worried about being corrected, why not run your comments through spell check before posting them? Or is it because you WANT to be confronted about how atrocious your spelling and grammar are, just so you can reply with something snarky? Hmmm...

My daughter's college is only an hour away, but she has to live on campus because she's in a conservatory that requires constant work. I almost died the day we moved her in, and now the four years are up and I'm dreading her moving back with all her stuff...haha! I understand that raising your daughter is a challenge, but with your son leaving for school, she will be what gets you through it. You'll see.
Even though my son is in denial, I think he might be headed for a career in the food industry. I see him as having a chain of restaurants, not necessarily cooking but somehow knowing what the public wants. He has always had an unusual interest in food and beverages, and he's a little shrewd and business minded, so maybe I'll be getting free meals for the rest of my life!
I don't watch any of the ghost shows on television, except Medium, but I truly believe in John Edward and Sylvia Browne. I've gone through a lot of death in my family, and they have helped me literally survive it all, and with a positive attitude.
