Aruba was fabulous. The weather was great, the beaches were beautiful, the
food was awesome. I went snorkeling and saw a turtle and an octopus (he
inked me).

All in all I had wonderful time, but I am glad to be back!

PS-Tomorrow is (July 25) my birthday.

I am leaving in 4 short days for the sunny beaches of Aruba!! I cant wait,
I am in major countdown mode. Is anyone else close to vacation?

Usually I am a HUGE Commerce fan but yesterday they really pissed me off.

My boss gave me a $25 Commerce/Visa card yesterday. I immidiatly read the
"instructions". The first paragraph basically (I say basically b/c I threw
them away) says your GC is ready to go, register it via the website to
order things on-line securely.

Go to the website and I cant for the life of me find where you register. I
figure oh well and move on with my day.

I decide to use my GC to grab some dinner, well imagine my surprise when it
comes back declined. I call the number on the back and after waiting about
15 minutes I finally get a rep and he tells me that the card takes 24-48
hours to activate. I ask him why the instructions say its available for
immidiate use. He doesnt know.

WTF?!?! I wish I had the instructions so I could quote them in a letter.
Damn me for being tidy and throwing them away.

Erik your letter and my experience on Friday night prompted me to write
this.

I have not been to a movie theater in over a year. I'm lucky enough to have
a drive-in about 45 minutes away and thats the only place I go. Its cheap,
you get 2 movies, you cant hear anyones chatter and the "theater" is as
clean as you left it.

I went to my local multiplex on Fiday night because, well, I was a snipit
drunk from an impromtu BBQ and was lacking impulse control and therefore
HAD to see X-Men IMMIDIATLY!

What I found when I got there shocked me. The tickets cost an arm and a leg
and then you had to give up the rest of your apendages if you want a snack.


Cost is one thing, but grossness is another. The theater floor was sticky
and there was trash everywhere. To add insult to injury people talked
loudly on and off throughout the entire movie. Oh and some genuis decides
it would be a great idea to bring his baby (complete w/ stroller) to a
10:10pm movie!

Whatever happened to clean theaters? Whatever happned to ushers who kept
the patrons under control? Whatever happned to shutting the hell up when
the freakin movie comes on?!?!?

I know that box office records are at an all time low and I have to wonder,
are theaters driving people away from the movies?

I did it. After a long time of making fun of the My Space people I have

Its that time of year when everyone is starting to graduate and I thought
it might be fun to hear what everyone wants to be when they grow up!

When I grow up I would like to do anything with animals. My greatest wish
would be to open a shelter. I already take in every stray I can it would be
nice if I could do it on a larger scale.

I often thought I wanted to own a pet store but I fear if I didnt have a
boss to reign me in I would chew out all the crappy pet owners. I would
imagine that would be bad for business-good for my soul, bad for
business...lol.

So...what about you?

have always wanted to own a store, or be a judge, whichever comes first...
ha!

As far as owning that pet store, all you have to do is make sure you have
one good employee to reign you in. You could still be the owner. Besides,
some pet owners (like my neighbors) really need a good chewing out.

I live in upstate New York (born and raised in New Jersey), and our local
shelter is in dire need of good management, as I'm sure is the case with
many others. You should check them out. Have you ever considered being a
veterinarian?

Everyone that knows me on this site will probably laugh when I say this,
but I really want to be an editor. I honestly enjoy proofreading, and
finding the right word or random bit of knowledge. I'm really detail
oriented (read: nit-picky) so I think this would be the perfect career for
me! Now if someone will volunteer to underwrite my education, I'll be set!

at my preschool graduation we had to dress like what we wanted to
be...Unfortuantely as simple as a child is...I was devistated when they
couldn't find me a mcdonalds uniform!

I dont really know what to do w/ a blog so I'm just gonna post inane info
about ME that most people probably wont care about.

My name is Courtney. I live in NJ. I'm 23, I'll be 24 on July 25th. I have
a boyfriend of 5 years that wont commit and a yellow lab of 4 years that
needs to be commited.

I work for a mortgage company as an "executive assistant" a title I'm sure
makes my boss feel more impostant then it does me. I basically answer
phones, babysit loan officers, and send out documents, but the brunt of my
day is spent on the net. Poor, poor, little me...lol.

I found PF right after I left retail. I probably should have sought therapy
but this has proved to be much cheaper and entertaining.
