I just had the (dis)pleasure of reading some of the most vile offensive
comments I've ever seen posted on a thread. I'm glad that PFB deleted
them, but I'm saddened by the fact that I hit that "expand all" button and
read them before they were yanked.
To the person who wrote them, and you know who you are, please please
please knock it off. Comments like that not only make people sick, they
make you look like the worst kind of person. I hope, for your sake, that
you had a momentary lapse in judgement. If not, please leave.

I get deleted twice in as many minutes because some small minded snob wants
to diss me for using a wic voucher.
Fine, I won't even mention in on the main thread, but I will here! Am I
going to get deleted in my "own" space???????

What is it about being pregnant?? I was NOT this tired when I was carrying
Peanut. I wake up tired and I go to bed half dead and it's all I can do to
keep my eyes open during the hours in between! That, and whoever said that
morning sickness is a temporary thing needs to be dragged out in the street
and smacked.
Ok, I'm done whining.
Mike started his new job and he's loving it, but I never see him. Peanut
is thrilled because it's warming up and he can spend his time outside on
his ride-on tractor. Today he was literally running around in circles
around me and my mom. Just had all that energy to burn. I wish he could
share!
I'm off to bed. The toothpicks holding up my eyelids are about to break.

Someone out there already said it, but I must agree. I'll put money down
that says we'll hear from Dora by the end of the week.
It still astounds me that there are really such uneducated, self-rightous
people out there. I guess I just choose to surround myself with good
people so I'm not exposed to such yuckiness every day. When I see such a
prime example of trash, it still takes me aback.
LOL I guess I just like it here in my own little world. I don't let the

It's finally here. VACATION. Remember that scene in Legally Blonde?
VAY-CAY!!!!!!!
Anyway, off to San Diego by way of Las Vegas to visit some friends. It
will be a challenging drive, what with Peanut and all, but we'll manage.
He's got half a dozen books and a whole bag full of "zooms" (toy cars like
Hot Wheels).
I'm looking forward to a spa pedicure at the hotel and a day in Tijuana
buying cheap vanilla and other stuff we don't need.
See y'all when I get back :)~

I swear. I cannot believe that some people out there have decided that the
people here are such nasty people.
I have been lurking around this site, inputting my $0.02 whenever and
wherever I feel that it was warranted. Not once have I been the victim of
one of these "nasty people". The members of this so-called "clique" have
never ever ever said anything to me that was in any way mean, nasty, or
otherwise derogatory. Yes, I have had my share of constructive criticism,
BFD. It was never presented in an offensive manner.
Some people out there seem to make inflamatory comments about people just
to get a reaction. When they get the exact reaction they want, they say
"see, I told you so". Is it me or is that kind of stupid??? This is
America. If you don't like it here, you have the right to LEAVE!

I work in a call center for a major brick&mortar/catalog/internet retailer.
When our center bills a customer, our 800 number shows up on their bill.
I swear I got loads of calls today from people who got their holiday bills
and were all het up because "someone" made an unauthorized charge on their
credit card. About 20 of the 22 such calls that I received were not fraud.
The customer had forgotten something they bought over the holidays. I
really hate it when they ring in and all but jump down my throat. If they
would just back up off their defensive high-horse for one minute, I can get
to the bottom of it!
I find it horribly ironic that one of the two true fraud calls I got today
was probably the nicest person I've talked to in a week. She actually
LISTENED to what I said and paid attention to the procedures we have to
follow. And, for once, she did not call me a liar when I told her that I
couldn't locate the charge using her card number. I really get a kick out
of it when customers call up and just start rattling off their account
number. I'm like...ok, thanks...what do you want me to do with that??
Anyway, I'm just glad that I only work there two days a week. They never
give me a "big" project and I get to keep my associate discount!

I was helping my husband think up some new items for the menu for the
restaurant where he works. Apparently, one of the other managers there
decided that they will put waffles with strawberries on the breakfast menu.

They did. The menu started last Monday and lo and behold when I stopped in
there last night on my way home there it was. I only pray that Dora
doesn't discover it....I like the waitresses in there and don't want them
cussed out. I also know that if there is ANY kissing, my husband better
not be involved :)

I heard on the radio today that in California there is a bill out there
that would make it a misdemeanor to spank a child under three. You get a
fine for the first offense and then up to a year in jail for repeat
offenders.
Where, oh where, to start where this is WRONG.
Let me say right now that I am NOT an advocate for beating your child.
People who do so deserve to get the book thrown at them. I AM an advocate,
however, for the right of parents to raise their kids as they see fit. I
can't believe this woman (a rep from Mountain View, CA I believe) would
relate the fact that parents slap their child's hand with the decline of
Western Civilization. If Peanut decides that he wants to try to put his
finger into an electrical outlet, I am going to slap it away. If he
repeatedly decides to bang his spoon against my plate and throw food all
over (after two warnings to stop) then I AM going to slap his hand and
reinforce my "no" with a sting. And I will be God D*mned if the
govenrment is going to tell me otherwise!! And, I'll bet that he thinks
twice before banging that spoon again!
I do not think this technique will work with a six month old. At that age,
it is 100% a parent's responsibility to be sure that the child is 100% safe
and unable to cause harm to him/herself. As the child grows older and more
independent, he/she needs to learn which behavior is appropriate and which
is not. At 2 (28 months) Peanut knows that when Mom says NO, that means
NO. He'll look at me and then try to see what happens if he starts to do
"it" again. Then he hears the "NO" again and stops. Usually this works.
Not always. When he decides that his toy truck will make a great sound
against the glass cabinet (which that monkey is tall enough to reach!!) he
gets told NO, but that sound is too tempting. He must do it again and
again and again till he gets his truck taken away. Then, he decides that
his hand makes the same great sound. After being told NO again, he decides
that he likes the sound too much to stop. Then, he gets his little hand
slapped. He looks at me and decides it's not worth it to try again.
This is called discipline, not beating for the love of God!!!

Man, that really gets under my skin. People who are so wrong and they
stand there and spew how right they are. Then, they have the audacity to
make blanket statements about how everyone on this website is "inbred", or
a "b*tch" or an "a$$hole".
I really do my best not to attack people personally, but there's a letter
out there that REALLY tried my patience. I guess that some people are
adults, and some.....well.....aren't.

Again, I've been lurking around...reading some of these posts...
The thread about the word "rape" seems to have really gotten crazy!
I, for one, do not feel censored, silenced, or otherwise impeded from
imputting my two cents.
I liken it to driving. You have every right to get on the freeway and go
from point A to point B. Nobody can stop you. HOWEVER, if you speed, you
get a ticket. If you tailgate, you get a ticket. If you run into someone,
you get a ticket (and your insurance rates go up!).
Y'All have every right to get on this lovely website and voice your
opinion. Nobody is going to stop you. The mods are like the Highway
Patrol. If you speed, they're gonna cite you. If you threaten someone's
life or use foul language, they're gonna warn you. Big Deal!!!!! It's not
personal!!!
These are not hard rules to live by, and I cannot find anywhere where they
have not been enforced fairly. I do not read *EVERY* post out there, but I
have yet to see where anything grossly inappropriate has been done.
We all have the right to agree or disagree and post accordingly, just be
respectful about it.

I've been lurking around and reading some of the reactions to the "new"
guidelines for posting comments. It seems to me that the message is
simple. Instead of using the phrase

"gimmee pig"

use the phrase

"you seem to have grossly overestimated the compensation to which you are
entitled"

Both get the point across that the OP is asking for way more than is
warranted, but one is "nicer" than the other. Yes, I have said aloud as
reading "what a #*&$* idiot" or some such, but in the interest of keeping
my responses PG rated at worst, I refrain from typing out the thoughts.
Most people out there word their responses very politely while still
getting the point across rather scathingly. Those are consistantly the
ones that make me laugh and I love every one of them!
