Mom of 4 lovely girls, Scout leader of 29, sister and wife. I have 23 years of retail and customer service experience including Sears in 2 states, Best Products, Hancock fabrics, Jo-Ann fabrics, restaurant experience, apartment managing and business owner of a small cleaning service for the last 15 years. I also mystery shop & merchandise for over 50 different companies! I like PFB because a lot of companies really do seem to respond, I enjoy the banter and the letters that are just plain not smart- we all enjoy a good laugh. For those of you who've asked, the avatar is my sweet Sarah. Anything else you wanna know? Ask. |

My husband has this great cold, runny nose, sore throat, the works. He has SO KINDLY shared with me, and even though I have to teach this morning, and have cases of scout cookies filling our living room, I now have to do it with a runny nose and stuffed head. While I am doing cookies today, and a 2 page paper, and a short test, and the general weekend chores, he is going over to friends to watch the Daytona. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Why do husbands always have to share???

I am not myself today. I am happy for all the dorky letters this weekend on PFB. My stepmom died last week, and my Gram passed last night. She was my dads mom, and because my father and his family are estranged I got to be the go between, which wasn't fun. After 3 strokes in 8 days, she finally passed in her sleep last night and I am so glad. I don't want her to be in pain, and I know that we will miss her. My sweet Sarah hugged me and said " I will miss cookies Mommy." Every Christmas my Gram and my aunt made about 150 dozen sugar cookies, in the most amazing shapes, decorated with colored sugars. My favorites were the Santas with the raisin eyes and coconut beards. My oldest made her sisters vow that when she left for school this year she would get cookies saved. I had to make the rule several years ago that the package couldn't be opened except by a parent, because the UPS man delivers while I am gone, and POOF! about a dozen cookies disappear. When my girls were little, she made them matching nighties and underwear for Christmas every year, and my girls have the most amazing Barbie clothes collections, because sewing was her other forte'- and I am the only grandchild to inherit it.Thanks to all those to sent me a msg. to boost my spirits-

Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Merry New Year, Happy Hannakuh, whatever you celebrate, hope that this time of year is happy and jolly for you!
My oldest arrived home from ID last night, and we are having a huge family dinner tonight before heading to church to hear the children sing.
Our prayers this year include a big one to BRING THE SOLDIERS HOME and put an end to the war- friends Cory and Chauntelle Jackson, who are stationed in Baghdad, and whose 4 children, ages 4 through 13 are scattered with 3 different families.
Best wishes, best wishes, and I hope that the new year brings you much happiness and peace!

to your opinion too. This site is made up of people with a lot of different opinions. Somebody elses opinion does not make yours any less worthy. I realized that early on especially on this site. There is no way to know whether or not the OP stole it or not, while it's a possiblility, it could be far from the truth too. She was definitely frustrated either way, I agree with you on that, and leaving it there was impulsive.
Anyway, you seem like a nice gal, and I hope you stick around :)
