I hope that woman rots in hell for what she did. I read they do NOT intend to seek the death penalty and as far as I am concerned, that is GOOD>
I want her to suffer in a cage for the next 60 years for her behavior. She killed that beautiful child so she could go party and screw a ton of men whenever she felt like it, rather than be a mother.
I am telling you, I truly wish forced sterilization was an option, since natural selections is CLEARLY not practiced in the human race. I mean, come on, even APES practice natural selection.
This woman never, ever, ever should have been permitted to breed,

I just saw this on CNN.com and had to post it here:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/TV/12/02/tivo.guilt/index.html
I dont have a Tivo, I have a DVR through my cable company. I feel like the folks in this article. Just last night, I deleted three episodes of People's Court, two Judge Judy's, and a month old special on Nostradamus (spelling)
I think I have seen every Law and Order, Criminal Minds, NCIS and CSI show every taped at least three times.
My DVR keeps me some great company during my insomnia bouts, but, obviously, I seem to be recording more than I can watch!

I am so angry right now I could spit nails! What the hell is WRONG with people?!?!
This morning, I went to Target to grab some snacks for the big OSU Michigan game today (GO BUCKS)
As I walk in the door, there is a cart right there with a 2-3 year old little girl standing in it and a maybe 5-6 year old little boy standing next to ir.
No, and I mean NO parent in sight. Few folks milling around, no one appears to belong to said cart. I get a creepy feeling, ask the little boy where his mommy is. He said SHE WENT TO GET SOMETHING FROM THE CAR!!!
I am not kidding. This woman left two small children just inside the door while she went back to the car. I told the little boy I was going to wait with them and stood maybe 3 feet away.
FIVE MINUTES later, in comes mom, giving ME a dirty look as I stand by her kids. I told her I felt compelled to wait with them and was sure she would understand.
She tells me , "Oh they were fine, you should not have interfered". I calmly said I would interfere any time I thought a child might be in danger, and that anyone could have come along and snatched one or both of those kids and been out the door in less than 10 seconds.
She said, "how do I know you are not one of those people?" I said. YOU DONT and walked away.
WHY in the hell would anyone with a lick of sense leave their kids that way?!?! Honestly? I am not a parent and seem to have more common sense in my big toe than this woman had in her entire body.
I would do it again in a heartbeat, only next time whip out my cell and call the cops to report abandoned children!

Ok, so I baked some chicken and rice. Lots of herbs, etc, so about 15 minutes into baking, the whole house smells yummy.
Enter Raven, up from her nap. She wanders around, meowing, jumping on counters, etc, as I take the food out of the oven. She loves chicken and wants it now!
I make myself a plate, and grab a little plate for her, and one for DJ,cutting up some pieces and setting them aside to cool.
DJ waits patiently, but Raven jumps up on the table, snatches a price of chicken off MY plate ( about 1/3 of a breast piece) and TAKES OFF UNDER THE BED with it.
That damn cat got far enough under the bed that i could not reach her and ate that huge piece of chicken in about three chews and a swallow.
I just KNOW she is gonna puke it up any minute now. I have no idea why she feels she needs to snatch food like that; she is clearly spoiled rotten and not starving in any manner.
*SIGH*

So, this afternoon, I have been very melancholy, which is just not me. I didn't know why, until I realized the date.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of 9/11, as we all are aware. Such a senseless tragedy.
Someone asked me the other day what I would change about the world if I could. We'd all had a few glasses of wine and were just reflecting on life in general.
One word came out of my mouth. Tolerance.
Just think of all the things this world might never had seen if we had all practiced tolerance. Think about how what many consider the holiest areas in the world have been at war since inception over religion.
Think about the people who bomb abortion clinics in the name of "right to life". Think able the people who kill homosexuals out of fear. Think about the people who burn crosses in front yards and still, to this day, talk about using a noose on those of color.
Think about children being used as soldiers and women being used as suicide bombers. Think about "honor killings".
Think about the fat kid, the kid with glasses, the poor kid, the kid who "talks funny", and the shy kid.
Think about the person you work with who never seems to fit in, who "tries to hard".
Think about how at the end of the day, we are all the same. We are all people, with hopes, dreams, fears, quirks, idiosyncrasies.
Think about how we all have a right to our opinions.
Think about how even a small think, like disagreeing with someone without being snarky, asking that shy kid to lunch or reaching out to that person at work, can make a really big difference in the long run.
I know I will.
Tolerance. That's all, just tolerance. I know nothing more powerful, more enlightening.

Ok, last week, I was in the Subway near me. The young man about the make my sandwich was eating something as I waked in the shop. he then grabbed a knife (no gloves) and asked what he could get for me.
I asked if he had just been eating, he said yes. I asked if he would please wash his hands before serving me. The young man smiled, said "oh sure, sorry", and went to the back of the store.
I heard part of a conversation between he and another Male working there, where they guy making my sandwich said "no big deal, she asked me to wash my hands". the second male then said "Stupid witch" That set me off, and I just walked out. clearly no manager in the store, no need for me to stay.
I was able to locate and use the "contact us" area on subway's site to explain what happened. I didnt ask/demand anything, just expressed my annoyance.
Here is the persona response I received this afternoon:
My name is Michael, I am the owner of the Subway you visited on Martin Road recently.
Let me first apologize that we did not make your visit a pleasant one. I have spoken to not only the staff involved, but all my staff about the importance of good customer service.
The young man who spoke inappropriately is a college student that has been working the summer during his break. He returns to school this week.
He has asked that I pass along his apology as well for upsetting you. He did not mean what he said, and did not intend it personally at all, and was only saying it as a joke to his friend. Again we are focusing our efforts on teaching staff to pay closer attention to customer needs and save personal conversations for elsewhere, not when with customers.
I was not there to witness the exchange and so cannot say for certain how the comment was intended. I can only say that he seemed very sincere, and is leaving in any case.
I hope that you will not let this unfortunate incident deter you from visiting us in the future. I will be sending some free sub coupons and I hope you decide to give us another chance to serve you.
Thank You,
Michael
Subway
I wrote back to Michael thanking him for his personal response and asking him to tell the young man his apology is accepted. I also advised him the coupons were not necessary and that his personal response is enough to get me back in his store.
I know this isn't a PFB letter, but I wanted to give kudos to a company who "gets it"

Ok, so here is a question. WHY, WHY , WHY does some food smell wonderful but taste yucky??
There is a very friendly family living downstairs. Sweet, well-behaved kids, everyone always says hi, etc. A few months ago they came upstairs when I dropped a TV (dont ask) to make sure the huge noise wasnt me falling down.
A few times a week, I can smell the awesome food they cook. They are a hispanic family, and the smells are just amazing! I am sitting here right now smelling something that seems as though it would be heaven.
A former employee is also hispanic, and he was always bringing yummy smelling food to work. He has offered to allow me to taste his wife's food a few times,. I have NEVER liked it.
How can something that smells so good taste to nasty to me?
Its not just mexican/hispanic food. Last night, I nuked a can of Campbells cream of broccoli Soup at hand. The stuff smelled wonderful, but tasted so horribel I spit it out.
A few weeks ago, I had a staek at Longhorn with Bleu cheese and peppercorn. Smelled great, tasted evil. No, it wasnt spoiled.
I recall learning back in school smell and taste are closely related and thats why we dont have an appetite when we have a stuffed nose from a cold.
SO, I ask WHY does stuff smell great and taste icky???

For reasons my lawyer will not allow me to discuss, I am in the hunt for a new job.Like NOW.
I have managed in call centers ( both first and third party, collections and customer service) for almost 20 years.
Digging around online and putting feelers out, it seems management positions are harder to come by these days.
This time around, I want to do something that MATTERS. Maybe a non profit, something to help women or kids, I dont know, something I can feel good about.
Any suggestions??? I never finished my degree, sorta fell into management in my early 20's. When I do finish, it will be a dual degree in both business management and organizational psychology.
