It's unlikely they'll work with you. Verizon ended up charging me over $600 for "service" during a period of time after my contract had expired, and continued to charge late fees on the balance for that "service"...I realize that was probably my fault in some convoluted way, but they absolutely refused to consider the fact that I might not have needed to pay for something I didn't receive.
