This is a stupid response.

Erin was justified in being upset about the handling of her credit card. According to your logic, she should be prepared to cancel her cards at will whenever she goes out in public. I wouldn't want to go through this hassle, but you seem to think it is justified and imply that you would enjoy doing this.

A simple memo from McDonald's corporate office to all THEIR locations would be good. Ultimately, it is McDonald's that is responsible for the training of THEIR employees, not Erin. So yes, McDonald's should take action, or THEY could be held liable for identity theft or credit card fraud.

Thank you for saving McDonald's corporation from that hassle Erin!
