THESE CUPS ARE BAD FOR BABY!
by S. Fantasia - Posted Tue July 24, 2007 @ 9:37 AM

First of all, isn't anyone noticing a pattern here? The company producing this product obviously does not care about the consumer, but rather, cares more for the money they can make by creating a terrible product that children (and, dare I say, parents) will become easily addicted to.

These are obviously not the best quality sippies but children love them because they are nothing more than a glorified bottle. The truth is, this cup should only be used briefly to first introduce sippies to transitioning children. Once the child can drink from it, you should really use a harder top. My son became addicted to this cup and began sucking on it even when it was empty This worried me because we went out of our way to NEVER use a pacifier in order to protect his little teeth and ears. I finally took it to my pediatrician with me and couldn't believe what she told me. This type of soft-top sippy is the number one cause of ear infections in her office. Children like the feel of sucking on that top so much that often times them are not actually drinking what is inside causing the drainage to settle in their ears. I wasn't shocked, my son has had his share of ear infections since this sippy.

I wanted another professional opinion so I took it with me to the dentist and asked a pediatric orthodontist about the product. He also advised that I get rid of it because it is known to ruin little teeth. He said it is actually WORSE than a normal pacifier because the top is substantially larger! What a HORRIBLE product!

Throw these things away as soon as you can - they are not worth the damage they cause and the company making these pieces of junk should really be ashamed!
