I know from experiancing both sides that from the customers perspective its annoying, however i was a manager at mcdonalds and at a certain time the machine goes into a 'clean and defrost' mode all on its own so they cannot be sold and also when we were short staffed and would not have time to run around making ice cream, mdflurrys and shakes we would say that it was broken but its hard enough to do 30 cars in an hour when you have a full staff of 5 1 to take order 1 to make bugers 1 to make fries and help buger maker 1 to pass you the order and 1 to do prep. (late night full staff) never mind when 2 people have called in sick and you have 3 people this means you have 1 person to ake the order and do prep 1 person to make bugers put the meat on the grill and in the deep fryer and 1 person to get all the drinks, fries and put the orders together pass them out then stock up. Theres usually a reason fo doing things and yes it sucks that you cant get what you want but if you want the truth just tell them that you have gone in durring the day and got a shake and it seems that every night you come in it seems to be broken why is that? if the worker wont tell you the truth ask for the manager and just tell the mamager that its bad practice to lie to the customers and if they have cleaned it early tell them you are going to be talking to their head office about whats going on im sure it will stop!
