You want a refund of all monies spent in excess of $500? From that statement I would gather that you do not want a refund since you only spent $500.

Stub Hub acts as a third party facilitator for event tickets. Someone has them, you want them and Stub Hub puts you together. They have no control over the price, it's set by the person selling the tickets. You don't want to pay the price, you don't make the transaction, similar to ebay and any other auction site.

The key with using an auction site is to research the top amount the item is actually going for so you'll know if you're getting a good deal. My husband needed a part for the used truck we bought. We went online and found the cheapest price that you could get it new, which was $81 plus shipping. Then he knew when he bid on one on E-Bay how high he wanted to go and we got it for $48 plus shipping.
