I think you're out of luck, but you might try Singer. I've had great luck in the past getting my machines fixed, including one that was several years old.

When I worked at the fabric store, I would often tell people to walk away from their machine/project when they got frustrated, but I meant for an hour, not several weeks. Part of the responsibility in this is yours. It won't magically fix itself if left alone, yknow.
