I was discussing this with a friend. If the story is true (and I've checked the stories there before, and so far all have been true), then it's just strange. My friend said that some (certainly not all) police officers feel that they are better than the average person and will carry things too far. The whole thing about the hamburger being sent to the lab is just weird. What she said made sense too because most people would have stopped after that first bite. I'll keep my eyes open for a follow up story.
