I don't think this is a real complaint. Even if it is though, I loath the portion of this letter where the OP says "I don't think it's worth protecting 15% of the population"! Who is she to say that? And when did it become offensive or annoying to not hear Merry Christmas? Where I come from it is a COURTESY to receive a greeting, not a necessity. What is the harm in saying Happy Holidays and encompassing all religions? I consider myself to be Christian, but I must say that I am terribly embarrassed at the number of "Christians" that feel they are entitled to the continued national use of the word Christmas. Target has every right to tell their employees what they can and cannot say while on company time. If Target were to use the OP's logic regarding employees and free speach, then employees would be able to cuss and say whatever they want without recourse. That makes sense doesn't it?
