Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS at Target is a dirty word!
by Jaysmomma - Posted Sat December 15, 2007 @ 9:02 PM

My question is what in the world was the cashier doing telling you information that was given out during an employee meeting for the store? That was confidential information and shouldn't have been disclosed to you in the first place. Her bad mouthing her employer like that could very likely cost the company business. From a complete business perspective of this, that cashier should be held accountable for speaking in a negative way about the company. She may be upset about not saying Merry Christmas. You may be upset about not hearing Merry Christmas. But the retailers have every right to respect the population of our society that doesn't celebrate Christmas. If they ever stop selling Christmas trees and decorations because it'll offend those that don't celebrate it, then maybe there's a complaint there.
