This seems to be the way many fast food restaurants do things. I know the McDonald's double cheeseburgers we sometimes get bear almost no resemblance to the juicy looking burger masterpieces pictured on their menu. And Taco Bell food almost never looks like it does on the menu.

I'm sure there's some reason why this isn't false advertising, mainly because these companies have huge legal departments that would surely change the signs if it were. Still, I wish you luck in your quest for a fast food sandwich that actually looks like it's advertisement.
