Did it occur to you that perhaps your child's perspective on this situation (that Christmas is RUINED without this expensive gift) is due in part to the fact that you park her in front of a large TV and ignore her?
Try giving her some love instead of expensive electronics and see what happens. Because the world really doesn't need to deal with the kind of adult she's going to turn into.
