Really? You think you were pulled over because you are out of state, and not because you were driving 10 miles over? I am sorry to burst your bubble, however, even IF (and thats a BIG if) you were right, you were still speeding; therefore, you have no ground to stand on. Even if they pulled you over because of that reason that you stated, they still can say you were speeding, so there! Nothing illegal there. What IS illegal though is you speeding and going over the speeding limit. Also another thing that is illegal, is speeding in a state in which you don't live! Come on, I am not a police officer and I could have told you that was a bad idea!!!! As any responsible adult would do, you need to cut your losses, and learn from your mistakes. Don't speed because:
A: you can kill yourself
B: you can kill someone else, if not yourself.
But I am sure you have heard that, so there is no reason why you shouldn't listen.
