Was a kid in Germany during WW2. Basically everything counted and NOTHING went to waste.

He is like that to this day. It doesnt matter what it is...if it is moldy or rotten he just cuts it off and eats what is good. We have tried in vain to get him to stop this but he INSISTS its still good. LOL!

It hasnt seem to hurt him at all.
