I was on the subway this morning as I had to go to a different office at the other end of the city for a meeting. I got on at a notoriously busy stop and stood on the train. Most days I don't have a problem standing, but today, I am exhausted, I have a cold and I just wanted to sit. So I waited to see if someone would offer me their seat and the funny thing is that after about 3 stops an elderly gentleman offers me his seat. He said he remembered how tired his wife was when she was pregnant. I refused to take his seat, but after much insisting I finally did.

That totally burns me. I often take the same street car home from work and the street car driver won't move unless I have a seat.
