It just seems odd that someone would, without provocation, just start reacting to nothing in such a vehement manner. I worked retail and had a small family business and never once reacted to nothing.

I have had confrontational people, and could manage to diffuse most but not all of them. When it's your own store, especially, you try your best to keep customers coming back. I'm not saying this didn't happen, but it just seems too odd.
