Exactly what type of measures are you wanting them to come up with? Rent you a car, buy you bus tickets, call the Enterprise and have your family beamed home?
Your reasoning and your complaint are way off base.
I just do not understand why are complaining when you arrived home safely, albeit delayed.
By the way I would agree that you should get comped a small $$ amount because the Direct TV was not working but thats all you should get comped for.
