Why would they link two separate, individual accounts just because you are married? I would think from a privacy standpoint that unless this was a joint account or they were somehow linked, they wouldnt be able to update both if one changed.

And clearly your wife had at some point used the prior address or it would not have been on file - but when you upgraded the account, did you not both CHECK the addresses?

My ex and I BOTH have CHASE cards and I thank GOD his information is not tied to mine because then everytime he changes HIS info, it would change mine too.

Believe it or not, that is for your own protection that they don't update both unless you expressly request it.
