You say that you put the robe on after your shower and THEN read the instructions on how to purchase it.
Thus, it was on YOUR naked wet body as well and you decided you didn't want it after you found the receipt. But my question is this: Why wouldn't you look at the purchase directions and check the robe out BEFORE putting it on YOUR OWN naked, wet body?
Personally, I wouldn't try ANYTHING on my bare skin that I had to pay for until I was SURE I wanted it.
Gross as this could seemingly be, something seems off with this. I hate to say the whole thing just sounds fishy. It makes it look as if you put the robe on, decided it was too much money and then complained that the robe was used. That's just how it comes across as I'm reading this. Esp. when you demand "a complimentary night or two" from this high end hotel in return.
