i work at cvs and i know there are restrictions to coupons. You can not buy liquor, gift cards, tabacco or stamps, and lottery tickets. Copuons will not go through because the system pervents it from happening. Same goes for extra bucks- if you look on the bottom of your coupons you will see the "some restrictions apply" notice. It wasnt your fault- the management was just dumb and didnt know the rules. at any store you should always ask about restrictions and return polocy because every place is different.
