Thomas, the doctor may have a record that shows the fax was transmitted, but he has no way of knowing that it was received.

Is it possible for you to email it to Nanette? That way you can get an electronic notification that she received it. Not that it helps now, but you might want to consider registered mail in the future. Then at least you know it got there.
