How about before going to such a place like Krispy Kreme, you should maybe try calling them to verify when they are closing or look on their website? Honestly, the only person to blame for the wasted gas is yourself.

If it would really benefit them being open late at night, then I think they would be open late at night.

Your "request" of doughnuts is stretching it and frankly, a bit laughable. How is this the store's fault? Why do they owe you anything? They don't even owe you an apology.

Be an informed customer and don't be one that expects everything to be given to them, spoonfed.

On a side note, I like the occassional doughnut meself. Our local Krisy Kreme has a big neon board right on the interstate so whenever there are fresh doughnuts, they light up that sucker and then you gotta watch out because people dart through three to four lanes trying to get to the exit to go get fresh doughnuts. LOL
