OK, I totally agree with the decision to not call the store manager on his day off. Esp. since you were going to ask for a favor.

I also think you are over-reacting, and I'm surprised you'd let $10 ruin what sounded like a fun day for you and your child. I can't help but wonder how she felt watching all the toys be returned.

Bottom line, yes it would have been nice if they could have made an expection for you, and probably would have been good from a business standpoint, but they had NO obligation to do so, and the fact they didn't doesn't make them a bad store.
